Fibriods Suck

cMy first post to this blog was Fibriods Suck. I changed it. However I did want to post a detailed list of the side effects and consequences of having fibroids, but a couple people beat me to it. Apparently it is a general consensus that Fibriods Suck and Mrs Dionne says it best. Here is a snippet. Check out the page and the rest of the site here.

"Fibroids Suck
Okay. I know I can be more articulate than
that and possibly even use a word that doesn't offend people. But, the truth is
simple. Fibroids suck They suck the life right out of you. Oh yeah--they
start out small. . .but, if left "unattended," they can end by enlarging your
uterus to the size of a basketball. In the process, they can:

divert mass quantities of oxygenated blood to your uterus (doesn't your brain
need some of that blood?)
increase your incidence of headaches. . .most likely migraines
bring on menstrual cramps like you've never dreamed of
before
create massive blood loss during your monthly menstrual period and
every other day of the month...
turn you into an exhausted, anemic, rag doll
make you look pregnant all of the time
help you to develop your
fat cells
pull your back muscles out
press on pelvic nerves
cut off circulation to your legs
damage other internal organs
make childbearing difficult, if not impossible
ruin your sex life (of course, considering the above list, sex is probably no longer a priority!)

and let's not forget the item I call the DUH! factor:

PMS from Planet Pluto

It's not "normal" PMS. It's a direct result of estrogen-run-amok or, quite
possibly, progesterone-nowhere-to-be-seen (do the doctors even really know?) and it's from way beyond the outer region of anything you thought you could ever
experience. Who wouldn't have PMS with a list like this? It gives me PMS just reading the list! DUH!
"

Good Times...I could not of said it better.

Just found this blog. It's helpful...

I recently started my own blog to chronicle my fibroid story to hopefully help others. I will soon be putting my surgery story up as well.
